First Look: Daniel Craig In ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’; More News Of Unpublished Fourth Novel In The Series
Hot on the heels of the massive debut ofThe Social Network, directorDavid Fincheris already shooting another film. His new version ofThe Girl With the Dragon TattoostarsDaniel CraigandRooney Mara, and the first set photos of both actors have shown up online.
The Daily Mailisn’t so good with news scoops, but the paper has been great of late with getting shots of studio productions that are shooting in the UK.
These shots of Daniel Craig evidently take place at the opening of the film, as his character Mikael Blomkvist been convicted of libeling a wealthy industrialist. AndRooney-Mara.compresents a few images of the actress in costume as Lisbeth Salander.
And then there’s a question of the fourth, possibly unfinished novel in theMillenniumseries. Since the death of authorStieg Larsson, there has been rumor of an incomplete novel. Now Mr. Larsson’s brother Joakim has told CBS that there is an unfinished book…but that it is the fifth book in the series, not the fourth.
I got an e-mail from Stieg 10 days before he died, where he said that book four is nearly finished…To make it more complicated, this book No. 4 — that’s book No. 5…Because he thought that was more fun to write.
(Stieg Larsson died before any of the existing three novels were published, and he said he intended to write ten.)
We don’t know if this book can be finished and published. There are somecomplicated issuesof possession and ownership of the material. And if it does hit shelves, will that push Sony to adapt it along with the existing three novels? [NYT]
